Fixing the error "Site down or unavailable" in AdSense

Fixing the error "Site down or unavailable"

1. Verify where the Adsense code is located.

  • This is a fundamental step. AdSense code must be inserted inside tags on your website.

2. Verify that the domain is associated with the website as the primary domain

  • Place robots.txt in the root folder of your website.
  • A subdomain (such as xxx.myDomain.com) shouldn't be linked to.

3. Ensure that the essential information on your website is appropriately provided.

  • Ensure that your website has a title and description.

4. Verify that robots.txt is present in Google Search Console.

  •  In Google Search Console - URL Inspection, see if an error occurs when running the TEST LIVE URL from https://myDomain.com/robots.txt

  • If so, change the TTL value in the field where the google-site-verification code is entered to 3600 on the domain registration site and try again. (This lengthens the time it takes to respond to robots.txt.)

5. Verify that 20 days have elapsed since the domain or site was formed (Google Search Engine Indexing typically takes 20-30 days).

  • If you receive an indexing error repair completion email after registering a domain in Google Search Console, approval rejection because "Site down or unavailable," then this means that indexing has been completed successfully.
